Medical Assistant: The Jackson Center
Job Title: Medical Assistant Location: Naples , Florida Status: Full-time, Part-time or Seasonal Employee Date: Sept/Oct 2010 Summary: Two-physician Plastic Surgery and Dermatology practice in Naples, FL. For this position, we are seeking an organized, professional, highly-motivated individual who enjoys direct patient care.
As we are a paperless office, computer experience is necessary.
Essential Responsibilities: The Medical Assistants will oversee and be responsible for a diverse set of responsibilities.
v Escorting patients to exam rooms v Entering patient medical information into computer v Assisting with biopsies and procedures v Performing blood draws/taking vitals v Maintenance and follow-up of pathology log and lab results v Generating surgery schedule v Assisting with surgeries v Performing suture removals and wound checks v Patient education v Delivering results of medical tests v Maintaining medical supply inventory v Exam room and instrument prep/cleaning v Working knowledge of office procedures and products v Assisting with incoming telephone calls Qualifications and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and/or abilities required.
v Computer proficiency required v Must be able to take vitals, and assist with procedures v Outstanding organizational skills required v Outstanding interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and consulting professionals required v Medical Assistant degree preferred v Prior experience preferred
