MEDCOM/Flight Communications Specialist
Schedule: Part time, Variable hours that could include 5:00 am - 3:00 pm, 9:00 am - 7:00 pm, 3:00 pm - 1:00 am, 7:00 pm - 5:00 am).
Approximately 16 hours/pp.
Job Summary: Receives and relays medical information from field ambulances and establishes, monitors and records EMS/hospital radio communications.
Receives and relays request for both rotor and fixed wing aircraft from hospitals, EMS, police, fire and rescue agencies and provides effective communication throughout all phases of missions.
Job Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent.
Paramedic license required.
Other: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to make quality, independent decisions.
Able to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes and multiple interruptions.
Potential for eye strain.
Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
