Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT)
Qualifications: Full time Mon-Fri 1st shift.
Will rotate some weekends as needed.
Also PRN available.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: *BACHELOR'S DEGREE FROM ACCREDITED PROGRAM IN PHYSICAL THERAPY.
*GRADUATE FROM A CLINICAL MASTERS PHYSICAL THERAPY DEGREE PROGRAM.
*LICENSED TO PRACTICE IN NC AS A QUALIFIED PHYSICAL THERAPIST BY THE NC BOARD OF PHYSICAL THERAPY EXAMINERS.
*EXCELLENT HUMAN RELATIONS AND ORAL/WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: *PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AS LICENSED PHYSICAL THERAPIST.
*GRADUATE FROM A CLINICAL DOCTORAL PHYSICAL THERAPY DEGREE PROGRAM.
Job Specifics: Schedule: PLANS, IMPLEMENTS AND ADMINISTERS SPECIFIC TREATMENT PROGRAMS FOR INDIVIDUAL PATIENTS, AS ORDERED BY A PHYSICIAN, ACCORDING TO THE PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES OF PHYSICAL THERAPY.
EVALUATES, ESTABLISHES AND REVIEWS TREATMENT PROGRAM AND GOALS FOR PATIENTS AS PRESCRIBED BY MEDICAL STAFF.
ASSISTS IN SUPERVISION AND TRAINING OF PHYSICAL THERAPY PERSONNEL IN THE DAILY TREATMENT OR REHABILITATION OF PATIENTS.
ASSISTS WITH SUPERVISION OF CNA I and IIs ASSIGNED TO THERAPY PATIENTS.
ASSISTS IN SUPERVISION OF PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT STUDENTS DURING AFFILIATIONS.
PERFORMS PRIMARY TREATMENT CARE WITH MODALITIES, GAIT, EXERCISE, EDUCATION, ETC. TREATS PATIENTS OF ALL AGES FROM NEWBORN TO GERIATRIC.
COLLABORATES WITH INTERDISCIPLINARY TREATMENT TEAM.
REASSESSES PATIENT PROGRESS AND COMMUNICATES FINDINGS WITH REFERRING PHYSICIAN.
PROVIDES INSTRUCTIONS IN THERAPEUTIC PROCEDURES TO BE CONTINUED BY THE PATIENT.
ASSUMES RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE OPERATION OF PHYSICAL EQUIPMENT USED BY THE DEPARTMENT.
MAINTAINS DAILY SCHEDULE OF THERAPY FOR PATIENTS.
MAINTAINS NECESSARY PROFESSIONAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE RECORDS AND REPORTS.
ATTENDS EDUCATIONAL COURSES PERTINENT TO PHYSICAL THERAPY AS ASSIGNED/APPROVED.
ASSISTS IN THE ANNUAL BUDGETING PROCESS.
DEVELOPS, SUPPORTS, IMPROVES AND PARTICIPATES IN THE MEDICAL CENTER'S CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT {CQI} PROGRAM.
PERFORMS OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS ASSIGNED OR REQUESTED.
