The Hospitals Center occupies the superblock along First Avenue between 30th St. and 34th St. which it shares with its affiliate, NYU School of Medicine.
NYU Hospitals Center consists of two hospitals: the Tisch Hospital and the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine.
Tisch Hospital is an acute-care general hospital of 726 beds that annually admits approximately 25,000 patients.
The hospital contains a number of important treatment and diagnostic units and is a focus for a wide spectrum of regional patient care programs.
The Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine is the world's first facility devoted entirely to rehabilitation medicine.
Together these hospitals provide a range of superb clinical care matched by only a few centers world-wide.
Internal Audit Manager Job Description: Candidate will be responsible for supervising internal audit staff and performing financial, operational and regulatory compliance reviews under direct supervision of the Director; assisting in periodically developing a hospital-wide business assessment; executing the approval audit plan through the effective and efficient management of departmental human and other resources; communicating results of audits to department leadership and members of management; working with the Director to develop an annual personnel development plan for yourself and staff that includes goal setting, performance evaluation, and an education and training plan; and all related functions as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five years performing financial and/or operational audits with a concentration of experience in a large hospital or healthcare system required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential.
Master's degree and/or CPA or CIA preferred.
