INFUSION RN (17762)
REQUIREMENTS The Infusion Nurse is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for providing Infusion Therapy in the Barrow Adult Clinics.
The RN must be able to manage PICC's, midlines and portacaths; Chemo Certification is preferred.
The Nurse also participates in the daily operations of the clinics.
AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State.

BCLS certification.
Resuscitation level certificate as appropriate to assigned department.
The Registered Nurse coordinates, supervises and implements patient care based on competence, professional expertise, knowledge and evidence-based practice.
The Registered Nurse is expected to practice autonomously, consistent with professional standards, Nurse Practice Act and hospital job description.
The Registered Nurse: Observes and maintains records on patient care, condition, reaction and progress; Conducts initial and ongoing assessment, develops patient care plan, manages patient treatment, teaches patient and family, identifies and corrects variances from care plan and completes discharge planning; Prepares equipment and assists physician during examinations and treatments; Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors patient vital signs; Obtains consults and referrals as necessary; Monitors and performs actions to decrease patient length of stay including but not limited to the use of computerized Bed Tracking System, providing timely and meaningful patient report, and communicating patient discharge/transfer information to appropriate personnel; Promotes patient comfort which include the assessment of pain level in all patients using "0-10" or faces intensity scale, identification of comfort functional goals with patients, providing timely/appropriate interventions and reassessments, and assisting patients with appropriate activities of daily living.
