NYU Hospitals Center consists of two hospitals: the Tisch Hospital and the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine.
Tisch Hospital is an acute-care general hospital of 726 beds that annually admits approximately 25,000 patients.
The hospital contains a number of important treatment and diagnostic units and is a focus for a wide spectrum of regional patient care programs.
The Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine is the world's first facility devoted entirely to rehabilitation medicine.
Together these hospitals provide a range of superb clinical care matched by only a few centers world-wide.
Hospital Coding & Billing Compliance Analyst Job Description: Candidate will be responsible for routinely testing whether submissions to government payer are supported by adequate documentation, properly coded, and presented properly on all third-party claims including determining whether physician orders support the provision of services rendered and are appropriately signed and dated; working closely with coding and billing staff to assess their level of compliance with current CMS regulations; initiating periodic reviews of services that require special oversight in order to provide management with reasonable assurance that the systems we have in place for data gathering and claims submission are reliable; assist with appropriate follow up when exceptions are identified; plus all related functions.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field with four years hospital coding and billing experience; plus solid knowledge of auditing techniques and tools, and regulatory environment within which acute care hospitals operate; and the ability to work with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community required.
