DEPARTMENT: Home Health And Hospice SCHEDULE: Full-time regular; 40hrs/week; Shift: Day; Monday-Friday; 8:30am-5:30pm EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Health related field preferred CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: N/A REQUIRED SKILLS TESTING: Microsoft Word/Excel POSITION SUMMARY: Supports the effective execution of the quality improvement plan program activities by assisting in the development of quality improvement indicators, coordinating performance improvement studies, statistical analysis and developing reports, charts and graphs.
Supports quality program by providing agenda preparation, meeting minutes, tracking issues, etc. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Two to three years in quality improvement in health care (preferable in Home Care).
Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology.
Demonstrates ability to utilize computer software, data entry and database management.
Demonstrates knowledge of statistical and data management, ability to analyze and summarize complex clinical situations.
Ability to read, write and communicate in a professional manner.
Knowledge of and ability to use fractions, percentage ratios, addition, subtraction and division.
Ability to define problems, collect data/information, establish facts and make valid conclusions/decisions.
Must be able to work in a Labor Management Partnership environments.
DUTIES: - Compiles information and prepares quality reports.
- Communicates thoughts in an articulate manner (verbal and written).
- Effectively uses voicemail, email, memos, etc. - Identifies and responds to the needs and expectations of a diverse set of internal and external customers.
- Achieves high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Behaves in a courteous, professional manner with internal and external customers and maintains patient confidentiality.
- Adheres to the service policy and principles of Kaiser Permanente.
- Conducts statistical analysis to determine data reliability and confidence intervals.
- Develops and implements systems, procedures and forms to improve data collection, data management, and data display.
- Supports ongoing preparation process for regulatory reviews.
- Delivers high quality results on time, demonstrating cost savings when possible.
- Plans and organizes work assignment, sets priorities and completes work with a minimum of supervision.
- Demonstrates technical and job knowledge (statistical knowledge).
- Uses analytical thinking skills to breakdown problems, and analyze available data to draw conclusions.
