Financial Clearance Center Manager
Description: Manages the operations of the Financial Clearance Center (FCC); financially clearning patients prior to medical services being rendered.
Financial clearance operations include: verification of insurance eligibility and benefits, obtaining referrals and authorizations, payor notifications, and checking for medical necessity.
Supervises and coordinates FCC personnel to ensure accurate and timely clearance of scheduled patients.
Responsible for maintaining an adequate productivity level, ensuring all processes and functions involved in the registration of patients (collections of patient information) and financial clearance activities are performed accurately, completely and in a timely manner (primarily prior to date of service) to limit financial risk.
Requirements: Bachelors Degree or Business experience or equivalent.
Must have good leadership qualities with a minimum of 5 years experience, or equivalent, in a Patient Accounting and/or Patient Access background.
Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Successful completion of all orientation programs.
