An abundance of opportunities awaits you. Overview: The role of the Emergency Technician is to assist the nursing and medical staff in the Emergency Department.
The Technician primarily assists with patient care by preparing patients for exams and procedures, assisting with wound care, and application of orthopedic devices.
Knowledge and necessary skills will be utilized to effectively meet the needs of neonate, infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
Qualifications: Formalized training in one of the following areas: medical corpsman, student nurse, nursing assistant, paramedic, EMT, or prior Emergency Department experience.
Effective communication skills with healthcare team members, patients, family members, and visitors of all age ranges.
Must be physically able to handle and lift patients.
Current BLS certification is required.
