We are currently seeking a Department Administrator.

Department Administrator Candidate will provide leadership support and administrative direction for the academic clinical department which includes the overall management of a large multi-physician practice.

Must partner with Chair to develop and implement strategic goals including recruitment of new faculty and the development of new programs.

Primary responsibilities include financial management of all the divisions; managing non-physician personnel to optimize the effectiveness of the department; providing administrative oversight of all aspects of the academic programs; and directing the strategic development of space and facilities planning.

In addition, the Administrator will oversee the development, implementation and adherence of departmental policies and procedures; provide support to the Chair and leadership faculty in furthering the goals of the department and provide oversight and administrative direction for all grant management activity and clinical research compliance within the department.

Must possess a Master's degree in Business, Health Administration or related field with a minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in a large physician practice setting preferably in an academic medical center; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Thorough understanding of the management of an academic clinical department including oversight of all aspects of a physician group practice required and professional billing.

Excellent communication skills are essential to interface effectively with diverse internal and external professional groups and committees.
