Coding Quality Analyst - Broward, Miami/Dade Counties Job in Coral Gables, Florida US
Description: Coding Quality Analyst ¢ Broward, Miami/Dade Counties The Coding Quality Analyst will be responsible for providing coding and coding auditing services directly to providers.
This includes the analysis and translation of medical and clinical diagnoses, procedures, injuries, or illnesses into designated numerical codes.
This role will require daily travel to providers¢ offices in the Broward and Miami/Dade counties.
Primary Responsibilities: Audits medical records to assure proper coding of submitted claims Submits inaccurate codes to be removed or corrected Provides proper documentation and Medicare risk adjustment education to physicians Provides risk adjustment and correct coding training to billing staff/coders Works closely with other company departments to assure risk adjustment and coding compliance Acts as a resource for others
Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Associates degree in Health Services Administration, or other healthcare related field 2+ years of Medical Coding experience Certified Professional Coder or Certified Coding Specialist Proficient level of experience in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to work independently Strong communication skills Familiarity with Broward and Miami/Dade counties, with a reliable vehicle and the ability to travel daily within this service delivery area Additional Preferred Assets: Bilingual in Spanish/English Previous medical record review experience
