Clinical Pharmacy Supervisor-Call Center/Regional
Clinical Pharmacy Supervisor-Call Center/Regional Primary Functions/Responsibilities: Under supervision of Clinical Pharmacy Operations Supervisor II or Clinical Pharmacy Services Manager and/or Asst Manager as designated.
Supervises clinical pharmacists, technicians, or other support personnel and performs clinical pharmacy services and direct patient care duties proportionately as designated by the Manager and Assistant Manager depending on the clinical service area.
Maintains clinical pharmacy services in accordance with departmental policies and standards, as well as state and federal laws and regulations, as well as daily operational efficiencies within specific service area.
May be called upon to assist in all areas of Clinical Pharmacy Services and/or Medical Office Operations to support the overall operational effectiveness of Pharmaceutical Services.
Required Competencies and Skills: -Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
- Expert knowledge of drug therapy management of primary care, including but not limited to hypertension, diabetes, asthma, COPD, depression and CAD.-Working knowledge of TSPMG and KPCMI guidelines.
- Clinical: Measurement of blood pressure, use of blood glucose monitor, use of inhalers, peak flow meters and Lovenox patient teaching.
-Decision making and problem solving skills.
Required Education, Experience and Training: -Graduation from accredited school of pharmacy.
-Current license to practice pharmacy in the state of Georgia or eligible for licensure in the state of Georgia.
-Three (3) years experience practicing in clinical pharmacy setting or one (1) year experience as clinical pharmacy supervisor.
-Experience in managing patient enrolled in the clinical pharmacy service.
Preferred Education, Experience and Training: -Previous experience in appropriate clinical pharmacy service area (e.
g., anticoagulation monitoring, cholesterol management and/or primary care).
