Certified Pharmacy Technician/Panola Medical
Certified Pharmacy Technician/Panola Medical Primary Functions/Responsibilities: Under supervision of Pharmacy Supervisor, performs general clerical and technical duties.
Maintains pharmacy services in accordance with departmental policies and standards as well as state regulations.
Works in concert with center administration to ensure effective delivery of pharmacy services.
Required Competencies and Skills: - Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to deal pleasantly and effectively with medical staff and patients.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret written prescriptions.
Required Education, Experience and Training: - High School diploma.
- PTCB certification required.
- One (1) year dispensing technician experience.
- Knowledge of basic cash register operations and cash control systems.
Preferred Education, Experience and Training: - One (1) year dispensing technician experience in a retail or hospital setting preferred.
