COORDINATOR I (24285)
REQUIREMENTS Requirements: - Medical assistant program graduate.
- MA Certificate required.
- BCLS certification.
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in physician office setting.
- Must be capable of working independently with limited supervision.
- Spanish bilingual candidate preferred.
The Advanced Gynecology Program seeks a coordinator to provide clerical support services and patient care/treatments for gynecology surgery patients.
This individual will assist with obtaining vital signs and patient history, document patient care activities, and assist physicians and residents and/or licensed nursing personnel.
Other back office duties include performing simple patient procedures, setting up exam/procedure rooms including instruments for minor procedures, ordering clinical and office supplies, and completing referrals and authorizations accurately as needed.
Front office duties include receiving and returning patient phone calls, registration, scheduling patient appointments and surgeries, chart reviews and maintenance, ordering tests and pharmacy refills, coordinating patient care with other hospital services, social services, and third-party payers, and completing required activities for appropriate billing and collections.
