CNA (Kelsey Campus)#4175
Schedule: part time non-benefit, 15 hours per pay period, ever other weekend and holiday, on varying shifts.
Department: Long Term Care Unit Location: Kelsey Campus, Lakeview, MI Job Summary: Provides health care services in the nursing units which will meet the specific needs of the patients/residents.
Job Requirements: Current Michigan CNA certificate; CPR certification.
Maintains certifications, TB and other required medical tests and attends required in-services and Resource Day updates according to Hospital policy.
Reads all Hospital department-specific and general policies that apply to all employees.
One year prior nurse aide experience preferred.
Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking.
Able to handle emergency or crisis situations.
Able to kneel, bend and reach overhead to access materials.
Other: This job requires that weight be lifted or force be exerted up to 50 pounds 1/3 to 1/2 of the time.
On-the-job time is spent in the following physical activities: Standing 2/3 of the time or more, walking 1/3 to 1/2 of the time, sitting up to 1/3 of the time, speaking or hearing 2/3 of the time or more, using hands 2/3 of the time, pushing or pulling up to 1/3 to 1/2 of the time; stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending or crawling up to 1/3 of the time.
This job has no special vision requirements.
The typical noise level for this work environment is moderate noise.
This job requires the ability to hear alarms on equipment, hear a patient call, hear instructions from physician and staff.
Repetitive motions include repetitive use of both hands 5-6 hours, simple/light grasping with both hands 5-6 hours, firm/heavy grasping with both hands 1-2 hours.
