What We do: NYU SCHOOL OF MEDICINE The mission of the medical school is threefold: the training of physicians, the search for new knowledge, and the care of the sick.
The three are inseparable.
Opened in the spring of 1993, the School of Medicine's Skirball Institute of Biomolecular Medicine houses 120,000 square feet of state-of-the-art laboratories in an uncompromising commitment to the advancement and understanding of molecular approaches for the treatment of various important diseases.
We strive to provide a rich environment for scholarship, research, and patient care where the faculty understands that the students, as our successors, should not merely replace, but surpass.
Business/Finance Manager Job Description: Oversees Business Division within the Cancer Institute along with all facets of financial operations; develops, implements, and oversees internal controls; collaborates with division managers and directors to develop and monitor business/productivity workflow, and operations; assists in planning, designing and communicating strategic level analysis; oversees all core facilities of the Cancer Institute.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Finance, Business, Health Care Administration, or related discipline; 8 years experience in administrative financial planning and analysis; working knowledge of federal, state and institutional requirements and guidelines for sponsored programs.
Advanced computer skills in MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint; Proven organizational and interpersonal skills; outstanding communication skills.
