Account Specialist - Growing Business Job Description JOB CODE: MS8211E GRADE: 33 JOB SUMMARY >BR>The Account Specialist for Growing Business has overall account management responsibilities for an assigned book of business that includes Magellan Workplace Group standard EAP accounts with membership generally under 2,000 employees.
They develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, brokers, members and internal Magellan departments.
They support customer satisfaction and retention by ensuring customers are serviced consistent with contractual requirements and that concerns and/or issues are addressed and resolved.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS >BR>*Conducts research and responds to inquiries from customers.
Works within Magellan to resolve customer issues.
Participates in complaint resolution process.
*Provides customers with education on Magellan EAP and ancillary programs.
*Handles all customer training and member communication requests.
*Compiles and distributes customer utilization reports.
*Completes and updates required customer forms and information related to new account implementations, account transitions, product upsells, contact changes and employee count changes.
*Conducts all tasks required for timely submission and execution of initial contract and renewal contracts (to include rate adjustments as applicable).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: HS/GED Field(s) of study: HS + additional coursework Experience: 3-5yrs.
Job Specific: 2-3 yrs related experience (Ie account management, education, etc.) OR 3-5yrs customer service Other: Prioritizes tasks effectively.
Knows Magellan's limitations and effectively manages customer's expectations within those limitations.
Expresses ideas, recommendations and solutions clearly, logically and concisely in written, verbal and platform formats.
Conveys positive, professional image.
Demonstrates strong networking skills.
Familiarity with and ability to use various computer programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook.
Business and Organization Knowledge: Understands Magellan products and services.
Understands organization and effectively works through organization.
Understands customer organization, brokers and key decision makers.
Is an active participant on the account management team.
Works effectively in bringing appropriate people together to accomplish a specific task.
Demonstrates and actively promotes teamwork attitude.
Computer Skills: Ability to use Excel and Word.
