WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? The Hartford's Western Personal Lines Claim Service Center is seeking an experienced Claim Rep. to join the No Fault team and handle 1st party medical claims.
This position is accountable for claims within the confines of the various state compliance regulations that govern the handling of these claims.
This requires fully investigating losses and adjudicating them in a timely fashion utilizing the tools available to mitigate claim severity.
We are seeking a minimum of 2 years experience handling medical claims or equivalent experience, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, excellent spoken communication and telephone skills, ability to respond well under pressure, demonstrated ability to work well with others and in a team environment.
WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION? Successful incumbents will be responsible for working individually and within a team environment.
An excellent customer service orientation is critical to the performance of the responsibilities.
The duties include timely investigation of 1st part medical claims, verification of damages and interpretation of medical documents.
Candidates should have an understanding of medical terminology.
To be successful in this fast-paced medical environment, the preferred candidate must possess excellent organizational skills and be able to balance a wide range of competencies.
