Mission Support Administrator The principle role of a Mission Support Administrator (MSA) is to perform administrative work in support of the Agency's mission within components or programs across the Agency and Intelligence Community.

The positions are primarily located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

The work comprises a wide variety of administrative duties and responsibilities.

The position requires a basic working knowledge necessary to run an organization efficiently.

Specific duties could include: planning and scheduling meetings and appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, managing projects, conducting research and disseminating information by using the telephone, mail services, web sites, and e-mail, arranging travel, handling security and logistics requirements for visitors, event planning, preparing and editing office correspondence, using Agency electronic databases to complete time and attendance records, creating and maintaining databases, spreadsheets, and presentations, purchasing office supplies, managing areas such as stockrooms and office libraries, and assisting co-workers with office equipment and office procedures.

The work could be performed independently or by working flexibly in teams with other support administrators.

The work could also be aligned with a functional support area such as human resources, finance, acquisitions, and security where the MSA performs transactional work.

Minimum requirements: Candidates must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to establish and maintain effective working relationships; strong skills in oral and written communications; and the ability to conduct effective and efficient transactions with customers.

Candidates must value and exhibit strong customer service skills and understand the importance of sharing skills with others on the team.

Candidates must be able to exercise good judgment and discretion and work well independently and as a team member.

Must be able to work effectively with a diverse group of officers, including, all levels of management.

Must be flexible and possess good time management and organizational skills to work under short deadlines, juggle multiple tasks, and adjust to changing priorities and workloads.

Basic knowledge of technology, office equipment, computer applications and software (MS Office), Internet and the computer environment is required.

Candidates must be willing to attend training classes to gain new skills.

Testing Requirements: Candidates must successfully complete the Agency's administrative examination.

Educational/Work Experience Requirements: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent, plus three years of prior administrative or comparable experience, preferably in an office environment.

Applicable vocational education or Associate/Bachelor degree with limited work experience may be considered comparable experience.
