IT SPECIALIST (SA/AS) COBOL APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER: Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
As a Lead Information Technology Specialist (SA/AS), COBOL Application Developer (Technical), your assignments may include the following: Developing, planning, scheduling and testing COBOL software applications or leading a team in developing, planning, scheduling and testing COBOL software applications.
Designing, coding, testing and debugging programs according to detailed requirements.
Supporting the maintenance of existing applications software.
Participating on and/or leading a team designing, developing testing and implementing software applications.
Leading and providing quality customer service in the development, and integration of software applications and systems that enable customers to successfully meet their business goals.
Working with or leading a team within the framework of software development life cycle methodologies.
Providing coaching and/or on-the job training to junior level programmers.
Resolving critical issues and problems.
