Event Manager: National Conference Services, Inc.
About Us: Established in 1997, National Conference Services, Inc. (NCSI) is the industry leader in producing on-site events, conferences, meetings, and conventions for the US Federal Government.
Our Government Services Division is seeking an entry level Event Manager to perform a variety of services including meeting planning, event production, logistics, and administrative services in downtown DC. NCSI's Government Services division serves the staff augmentation needs of the Federal Government, DoD and Intelligence Community.
US citizenship required.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements.
Position Summary: The Event Manager manages and produces over 60 events a year.
This is a Public Trust position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Onsite event coordination and execution · Market research and reservations for off-site venues · Coordinate room layout, set-up and tear down · Menu planning and selection · Assist with meeting presentations · Prepare all necessary handouts for meeting, including tent cards, name badges and signage · Manage RSVP list and calling on attendees · Arrange teleconference calls · Identify and coordinate AV and other equipment needs and assist with set up and tear down · Organize registration sign in · Prepare attendance summary reports following meetings · Maintain database, websites and various listservs with current and accurate council member information · Run various database reports as needed Qualifications/Requirements: · This is a Public Trust position which requires a non-classified security clearance.
The applicant will be required to submit a SF85P and fingerprint cards and will be subject to a name and credit check by the US Government.
· BS/BA degree · 1 year meeting planning experience · Experience working with AV equipment · Ability to work independently at an off site location · Ability to balance and prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously · Strong problem solving ability · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail · Proven computer skills in Microsoft Office · Ability to lift 50 pounds · US Citizenship is required NCSI offers a competitive salary and full benefits with this tremendous opportunity.
