The award-winning 3-1-1 Citizen Service Center provides the public with access to non-emergency government information and services, 24 hours a day in over 170 languages; includes a technical team of developers and programmers that design, develop and support customer-focused computer and telephony environments, and a business development group that collaborates with other City agencies to establish and implement customer service solutions.

JOB DESCRIPTION: In addition to providing leadership and management for 3-1-1's operational, technical and business units, the Executive Director will be responsible for working with key DoITT and City executives to set priorities for customer-service focused initiatives, ensuring that they are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner; managing relationships with partner agencies and community organizations; ensuring timely response to inquiries, and the delivery of accurate metrics and actionable reports.

PREFERRED SKILLS: The qualified candidate will have a minimum of five years of increasingly responsible management experience and excellent leadership qualities, with a BA/BS; MBA and/or related degree preferred.

Experience in leading customer-facing organizations, software development and project management methodologies with a proven record of successful implementations of large-scale (preferably ERP) software implementations is desirable.
