Tech Proj Mgr (ISS)
Job Description: Manage multiple, sometimes complex, application development and enhancement projects.
Plan and coordinate with customers, other development teams and with business areas and IS support areas.
Make recommendations regarding hiring and retention of staff and assign, motivate, evaluate, train and counsel assigned staff.
Coordinate system changes across multiple platforms, develop and execute comprehensive project plans, and negotiate project scope, deliverables, and schedule.
Ensure that projects follow technical standards, documentation and implementation procedures.
Provide direction to project technical staff for projects and production support.
Manage teams of assigned analysts and consultants.
Job requires a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience and ten years of experience in all phases of systems and application development.
Freddie Mac will consider applicants who require H-1B sponsorship, but only if the applicant has at least three years of H status remaining out of the original six years of permissible H status.
In order to be considered for permanent residence sponsorship, the individual must be employed with the company for 12 months and meet or exceed annual performance objectives established by their management team.
This is a minimum requirement for sponsorship.
The decision whether to sponsor an individual for nonimmigrant or immigrant status rests exclusively with Freddie Mac. Job Duties: Manage a project portfolio of approximately $2MM consisting of multiple, sometimes complex, application development, buy and integrate, and enhancement projects.
Plan and coordinate project activities with customers, other development teams and with business areas and IS support areas.
Provide regular updates and standard project metrics.
Coordinate system changes across multiple platforms.
Develop and execute comprehensive project plans.
Negotiate project scope, deliverables, and schedule.
Ensure that projects are delivered utilizing current methodologies and project management discipline best practices.
Ensure projects follow technical and discipline standards, documentation and implementation procedures.
Ensure solutions delivered are of high quality and meet functional and performance requirements.
Provide direction to project technical staff for projects delivery.
Manage teams of assigned analysts, developers, testers and consultants.
Provide feedback on project staff to the management team.
Secure, onboard and offload any contingent workers or consultants required for project delivery.
Experience managing teams across geographically dispersed areas.
