Systems Engineer

This position is a technical resource for the Canon Medical Systems (CMS) staff and provides technical support to new and existing customers and dealers for our Digital Radiography (DR) Systems.
Responsibilities include providing on-site and remote (on-line) technical support to customers and dealers to ensure optimum system performance, while developing technical training material and conducting training of dealer technical staff, on products and new/upgraded software to ensure proper support of the product.
He/she will perform customer site analysis to determine configuration needs, wiring, telecommunications set-up and configuration recommendations to sales and marketing.
This includes assisting sales and marketing with presentation of specific systems and recommendations for the customer.
Additionally, installation of DR systems at customer sites, assisting in the analysis, development, as well as set-up and use of the new system (peripherals), components including software and hardware to ensure a trouble-free installation and maintenance.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: AA/BS in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) or equivalent experience and 3-5 years of related service experience on X-Ray Imaging equipment.
Candidate must have experience using Windows NT, XP and 2000.
Networking and knowledge using TCP/IP, DICOM and HL-7 preferred.
Strong technical, customer service, and communication skills.
35% overnight travel is required.
