System Administrator Lead/Manager

Responsibilities & Requirements: Understand existing System and Network configuration and put together a plan to improve the current setup to support our growth.
Become the 'help desk master' and resolve user issues and work towards minimizing issues with timely proactive support.
Create and institute backup and recovery procedures and installation of all critical application and compute servers and workstations.
Determine and institute procedures and methods to ensure uniformity in operating system, application version and patch controls across all UNIX, Linux and Microsoft systems utilizing your skills in system management tools, policies, shell and perl scripts.
Utilizing your experience in Windows 2003, XP and Linux, create automation procedures in server setup and maintenance.
Utilizing your experience in networks and security, setup and support an efficient LAN, WAN and VPN network and secure it from unauthorized intrusion.
Maintain and support our exchange based communication infrastructure.
Must have successful track record of handling similar responsibility.

S in information systems or related fields with 5-10 years of applicable System Administrator experience supporting large windows and UNIX/Linux based IT infrastructure.
Startups experience a plus.
