Sr. Manufacturing Engineer: Trilliant Inc.

With more than twenty years experience solving meter communications needs, the company focuses on the adoption of open standards-based technologies for electric, gas, and water utilities.
Our advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) solutions enable utilities to develop time-of-use (TOU) metering and demand response programs, transforming the traditional customer-utility relationship through interval based consumption data and 2-way messaging.
Also these solutions are used by utilities to drive down operational costs and improve customer satisfaction through much improved awareness and data on distribution system performance.
Trilliant is currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer responsible for manufacturing, test, quality and reliability of the product through entire life cycle.
Will work closely with the development team through the product development process to insure that product is manufacturable, testable, meets quality and reliability requirements, meets cost goals and is released on time.
Will participate in selection and qualification of strategic suppliers including Contract Manufacturer.
Will be responsible for prototype and pilot builds.
Will lead development of manufacturing, test, quality and reliability processes and procedures.
Will introduce product into manufacturing at the selected CM and ramp production to volume.
Will lead sustaining engineering after product release.
Travel up to 25-50% required.
Required: BS in engineering discipline.
At least 5 years experience as a manufacturing engineer.
At least 3 years experience as manufacturing engineer for an OEM manufacturing products at a Contract Manufacturer.
Experience manufacturing radio frequency (RF) products Preferred: Experience producing Cellular modem, Wi-Fi or Wi-Max products.
Experience with reliability testing (IRT, ORT, MTBF, HALT, HASS) Experience working with Asian or European contract manufacturers.
Bilingual: English/French or English/Chinese.
