SerDes Signal Integrity Engineer
SerDes Signal Integrity Engineer SerDes Signal Integrity Applications Engineer You will work closely with customers to support them in implementing SerDes features and applications and resolving device-related high-speed and signal integrity issues in their system by analyzing issues, identifying root causes and proposing solutions.
You will devise appropriate test methodologies and perform test and characterization of silicon to different high speed serial I/O protocols.
You will develop new system solutions and applications for customers using FPGA high-speed features.
You will need to create and improve device collaterals, such as application notes, white papers, user guides, models and from time to time, datasheets for the new silicon.
You will also develop and deliver training to the field and other internal groups in the area of SerDes signal integrity, high-speed design and high-speed I/O applications.
Qualifications: BSEE or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of design or applications experience.
MSEE preferred.
You must: Be able to work individually as well as part of a team.
Be technically creative with the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks.
Have a proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver successfully.
Be analytical, thorough and resourceful.
Have excellent communication skills.
Should have direct, hands-on lab experience in high-speed transceiver-related issues (either copper or optical ok).
Signal Integrity issues such as Jitter measurement, etc. Experience in several of the following areas is required: High Speed Board designs with Gigabit/Multi-Gigabit SerDes devices.
FPGA (with integrated transceivers) design experience.
Signal Integrity Analysis.
Knowledge of Verilog HDL/ VHDL.
Knowledge of communication protocols such as PCI-Express, Ethernet, Fibre Channel and PCI-Express.
