Senior Hardware Engineer
Senior Hardware Development Engineer for Media Player Applications Exciting design and development position at a growing consumer electronics company in Industry California.
The successful candidate will possess skills in one or more of the following areas: microprocessor/microcontroller development, TCP/IP network applicance development, power supply, CPLD/FPGA, graphic display development, audio and video player/recorder development and regulatory compliance.
Desirable but not required are familiarity with media formats such as WMV, AAC, and MP3 as well as Bluetooth and WiFi standards.
Familiarity with the development of products that utilize the Linux Kernel and/or Microsoft Windows CE is mandatory.
Experience with small to medium sized teams consisting of other hardware as well as software enginners is required with good teamwork skills being emphasized.
Areas of responsibility will include but are not limited to: product definition hardware architecture and design including simulations interraction with the software, mechanical/ID and test engineering teams schematic capture in PADS Logic PCB layout support and participation vendor interface and component engineering prototype debug and support to the manufacturing team.
