STOCK CONTROL CLERK I: General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc.
CQ611-9916 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for performing the physical or clerical tasks to receive, store, and issue equipment, materials, and supplies.
Perform daily cycle counts.
Receive purchased and completed manufactured items by verifying markings and quantities.
Record the issue and receipt transactions in the appropriate logbook and computerized database.
Verify receipts of customer-owned material from various sources, ie manufacturing, subcontractors, etc. Place materials in assigned locations using the proper material handling equipment.
Prepare shipping documentation.
Maintain filing system for daily transaction documents.
Check the MRP system for shortages on released work orders or sales orders and issue asrequired.
Process appropriate paperwork for transferring property.
Prepare stock use and inventory reports for both internal and external customers.
Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever andwhenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
Other duties as assigned or required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Typically requires High School diploma or equivalent.
Additional stock room experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
Must be customer focused and posses: (1) basic familiarity with office and inventory/stock control software; (2) basic knowledge of material handling equipment; (3) skills to maintain the flow of work within the unit; (4) familiarity with electronic mail systems (email) such as Outlook, etc.; (5) basic knowledge with computerized databases and spreadsheet programs; (6) interpersonal skills and written communication skills to interface with internal employees and to accurately document; and (7) basic mathematical skills.
The ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and /or any shift asrequired.
