Resident Electrical Engineer - Las Vegas, NV Description Make a Difference Resident Electrical Engineer - Los Vegas, NV Parsons provides landmark planning, environmental, engineering, construction, and facility operation services to the US Government.

Project Parsons is providing staffing augmentation to the Veterans Administration to support various design and construction projects.

Our assignments include field inspection, design review and construction management, project scope development assistance, monitoring of schedules, budgets, and payment estimates, status report preparation, change order management, and subcontractor management.

This position will be based in Los Vegas, NV, and will be supporting the construction of a $400 million hospital facility that will offer our veterans state-of-the-art medical care.

Need Parsons requires a resident electrical engineer with expertise in reviewing construction for hospitals, medical centers and/or large scale building complexes requiring sophisticated electrical systems.

The successful candidate will have significant field experience in overseeing electrical system installation in accordance with client specifications, approved plans, and industry sanctioned electrical engineering and construction practices.

You will be instrumental in solving construction problems related to the installation of electrical control panels, equipment, lighting, power generation, alarms and electrical backup systems.

This position may also entail providing input to construction schedules and preparing status reports.

Good communication and willingness to work as part of a team will be keys to your success.

Qualifications · 8+ years of electrical engineering experience in construction of hospitals, medical centers and/or large scale building complexes requiring sophisticated electrical systems · Demonstrated expertise in low, medium and high voltage electrical systems, equipment and power generation installations · Thorough knowledge of relevant building codes, testing methods, and safety practices · BS in electrical engineering from an accredited university and current PE preferred · Proof of US Citizenship and ability to pass a background check · Relocation is not offered for this opportunity, local candidates are preferred Parsons offers an ethical, challenging, diverse, rewarding and fun work experience where enthusiastic, responsible people use their energy, talent and dedication to make a difference in the world.
