R&D Electronics TechnicianVoxis, Inc., acquired by Topcon Corporation in August 2008, is an innovator in the design of precision high resolution motion systems.
Our expertise has been successfully applied to many kinds of precision instrumentation, including precision surveying equipment, fiber optic instrumentation, and similar measurements requiring the best possible position control.
Voxis helped develop the Precise Scan Technology for the GLS-1000.
The new technology not only uses time of flight measurement but also combines the innovative phase-based analysis technology, which results in unparalleled stable and precision accuracy measurement.
The technological innovation also allows measurement over a wide area (up to 150 meters).
How to apply: hr [at] voxis [dot] com Job Title: R&D Electronics Technician Description Work primarily with electrical engineers, but also some with mechanical and optical engineers, as we create the electronics for a new precision land-surveying measuring instrument Tasks include construction and verification of electronics "breadboard" circuits, working from schematic diagrams and rough sketches.
Qualifications Necessary · Ability to assemble and characterize "breadboard" level electronics systems, given a schematic diagram and some guidance · Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment pertaining to electronic measurements (ie oscilloscopes, DVM, etc.) · Familiarity with hand tools for assembly of breadboards and prototypes.
Must be able to convey information in a clear and concise way, either through reports, presentations or through direct conversation Desirable Familiarity with more advanced instruments such as electronic spectrum analyzers and network analyzers is a plus Experience in set-up and data taking of electronic assemblies.
