Quality Assurance Engineer/Manager
QA Manager This Company is seeking an experienced quality assurance engineer for planning, scheduling, managing, and execution of QA activities across multiple fast-moving projects with aggressive deadlines.
The candidate has a thorough understanding and experience of QA methodologies and process improvement.
Responsibilities: - Create system tests, analyze system usage data, and discover performance trends (black box).
- Create and execute unit and component-level tests (white box).
- Review overall test plan and create test cases for each project.
- Execute against the QA plan in a timely manner ensuring highest quality standards can be met. Make recommendations as necessary.
- Oversee the QA process and manage resource allocation to various tasks as necessary.
- Monitor overall system performance and interface with engineering to seek immediate resolution in the event of abnormalities.
- Evaluate processes within QA and in relation to other departments.
Introduce, enhance and implement efficiencies on a continuous basis.
- Create periodic reports (daily, weekly, as required) that detail progress for releases and overall accuracy and performance improvements.
- Work closely with all cross-functional teams and serve as an advocate for QA. Qualifications: - 4-6 years of Quality Assurance experience as an individual contributor.
- Experience creating component and functional testing tools.
- Knowledge of QA and software development tools including Bugzilla, Eclipse, Subversion.
- Experience creating and executing tests with JUnit and JMeter.
- In-depth understanding of QA methodologies and practices as well as software development life cycle.
- Experience with server testing.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
Must be able to collaborate and work with a diverse team including third party partners.
- Exceptional organizational skills, time management skills; self-starter.
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, both technically and organizationally.
- Proven track record in delivering quality products in a timely manner.
- Experience with wireless and mobile devices a plus.
