Photolithography Manufacturing Engineer
Support the Thin Film Head photolithography manufacturing process under the direction of the Photo Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Support resist coat/develop equipment from the process side and organize tool optimization efforts.
Design experiments to optimize photoresist processes through simulation/modeling and experimental techniques.
Assist in the implementation of new products and processes into manufacturing.
Set up procedures and systems for process monitoring.
Develop new processes and evaluate new materials to improve process capability and yield.
Monitor, sustain and support manufacturing processes and activities.
Responsible for defining and implementing yield improvement and rework reduction activities cross functionally with other engineering departments.
Process improvement through failure analysis and defect reduction.
Implementation and qualification of new tools, materials and processes.
Evaluate/monitor photolithography equipment performance and stability.Job Specification and Requirements* Interact with interdepartmental engineering and other support organizations.
Excellent communications skills to convey engineering issues to other groups.
Knowledge of SPC, data collection methods and other process characterication tools.
Requires the ability to make judgement calls for dispositioning of wafers when required.
Minimum BS in Chemical, Material Science, or Electrical Engineering, MS preferred or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years experience in photolithography at either semiconductor or thin film head manufacturing.
Work Schedule, Conditions and Physical Requirements* Work schedule is from Monday through Friday.
Regular work schedule may periodically be adjusted to meet company needs.
A significant amount of time will require the individual to work with standard photo modified lighting within a class 100 ESD sensitive manufacturing facility, requiring adherence to safety and dress standard, including but not limited to bunnysuits, safety shoes, glasses, latex gloves, etc. *Related duties as required are duties that may not be specifically listed in the classification specification or position description.
