Network Engineer/Analyst 9208
Description: Plans, organizes and supervises the installation of enterprise-wide network systems, to include secure systems using NSA-approved crypto devices.
Conducts site surveys to determine network characteristics to meet customer requirements.
Using an approved network architecture, designs networking technical solutions and develops site survey reports and detailed project support requirement documents.
When assigned, develops a detailed Bill of Materials for the job, determines staffing and skills to complete the job, and installs or supervises the installation of cabling, assembles and installs cabinets and networking components including crypto equipment.
If appropriate, tests and integrates the network segment into the governments classified or unclassified LAN/WAN as required.
Completes engineering reports and drawings upon completion.
Evaluates moderately complex networks and participates in site surveys.
Researches and evaluates network technologies and COTS.
Develops diagrams of networks.
Designs and plans moderately complex network systems and recommends resources required to maintain planned service levels.
Participates in implementation and may oversee projects of limited complexity.
Conducts feasibility studies and participates in the development of technical standards.
Resolves moderately complex network problems.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Must have the following: *US Citizenship *CISCO experience.
*Must be able to use MS Office (Word, Excel), MS Outlook and MS Visio.
*Bachelor's degree plus at least two years of directly related experience.
