Hardware Test Engineer
Position Overview: Technical leader (Plans and implements the work load on specific product (7100 or 5500) lines in the development of proto and release product mfg testing · Estimates project effort, costs, schedules completion dates · Monitors and communicates progress and evaluates the results of jobs · Manufacturing test development for Core Products utilizing Hardware and Software skills.
· Develop and sustain manufacturing test solutions utilizing Boundary Scan (JTAG) and Functional test toolsets.
· Evaluate or bring in new development testing technologies and/or techniques.
· Assist and/or Champion the develop/modify test development processes to create a structure/methodical processes · Works with R&D and other test organizations to develop product test and Technology strategies and to drive Design for Testability (DFT) into the product from a Boundary Scan (JTAG), ICT, and Functional perspective.
· Makes appropriate adjustments to maintain project goals, when necessary.

· Scope a Training and Development program for TE to better equip TE for new technology.
· Possess excellent communication skills to work with other engineering groups and work with our manufacturing partners to support their testing activities.
Qualifications: 4+ years of Manufacturing test design experience 4+ years of HW and SW design experience Telecom technology experience desired (ex.
SONET, T1, DS1, IP, LAN, etc) SW experience: C/C++, NI Lab Windows, Test Stand HW experience: Mentor Graphics designer, High speed design
