Hardware Engineer Hardware Engineer Austin, Texas ST-Ericsson has an excellent opportunity for a Hardware engineer as part of our Hardware Systems team.
As a member of the Hardware Systems team, the position focuses on the development of new RF IC products, developing reference radio, and various hardware platforms, and providing technical support for field engineers and customers.
Excellent communications, strong problem solving skills, and familiarity with certain radio technologies and circuit blocks are required.
Responsibilities - Assist in the development of RFIC Products - Design, analyze, and optimize 3G & 2G Reference Radio - Design, analyze, and optimize various hardware platforms - Develop technical document for internal and external customers Qualification - Education Level Required : BSEE + 2 years / MSEE - Experience with at least one of the circuit blocks (PA, ASM, Filter, LNA, Mixer, ADC, DAC, PLL, DCXO) - Experience with at least one of the radio technologies (cellular 2G/3G, LTE, BT, WLAN, GPS) - Experience with circuit and system simulation tools - Experience in schematic and layout of radio designs - Experience with RF lab equipment - Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Excellent teamwork and communication skills Education MSEE or BSEE plus two years of professional experience About ST-Ericsson ST-Ericsson is 50/50 joint venture uniting the wireless semiconductor division of STMicroelectronics and the mobile platform division of Ericsson (Ericsson Mobile Platforms).
