Director Of North American Sales
Director of North American Sales Director of North American Sales Description The primary focus of this position is the development and management of a growing revenue stream of products to end customers.
The successful Director must be able to directly support customers with their questions on product specifications, selections, reliability, and quality data.
Customer organization size and complexity may vary from Fortune 50 companies down to privately owned companies.
This position will be responsible for customer relationship management for all products, will also require close collaboration with product management, engineering personnel, applications personnel, production and manufacturing staff, and customer service.
Other responsibilities include identifying major key accounts, identify applications, and develop design wins in basestation, mobile stations, and wireless market space.
The Director will also build a strong team of FAEs and regional sales directors.
Background - Qualifications include a BSEE or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of direct sales management experience.
Experience with electronic components, like A/D converters and DSPs, amplifiers and mobile devices (SOC).
Semiconductor sales experience is a MUST.
- Demonstrated history of "design-in" selling of stand-alone IC's and/or modules in complex design and manufacturing environments.
- Experience in selling to at least one of the following end markets: basestations, wireless communication systems, signal intelligence, medical imaging, military communication systems, instrumentation systems, and handheld mobile devices.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies and tactics, basic market research techniques, product demonstration and sales techniques, and sales tracking systems.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
Product - Pre-distortion devices, stand-alone A/D's, A/D converter modules, amps, etc. - Technology can be applied to circuits that suffer from nonlinear distortion issues.
- Product and technology will serve both commercial and military markets and has ability to improve the speed, performance, power consumption and cost of high speed signal processing systems.
- Other key markets include communication, medical and industrial.
