CIVIL STRUCTURAL ENGINEER: THOMAS & BETTS
CIVIL STRUCTURAL ENGINEER Position will perform engineering functions, including structure design, prototype development, structure testing and material and cost studies relative to assigned projects.
Must perform design, development and modification activities for tubular products of our Steel Structures Group.
Responsibilities: *Analyze prospective customer specifications.
*Design structures and appurtenances as inter- preted from & described by customer specifica- tions using computer pro- grams, charts and curves where applicable.
*Prepare design calcula- tions and cost estimating information of proposed designs as required including use by Market- ing in bidding process.
*Complete final designs of components according to Jobscope Releases.
*Develop test procedures, supervise testing and write test reports for full scale testing of structures /components Basic Qualifications: *Four years post- secondary education with a B S Degree in Civil Engi- neering or a related field.
*0-3 years of work experience.
