SCORING DIRECTOR The Evaluation Systems group of Pearson is a leader in the development andadministration of teacher certification tests.
We are currently seeking a dynamic educator to serve as Sr. Scoring Director/Chief Reader in our Malta, New York, office.

Our experienced staff will provide thorough on-the-job training to help ensure success in this stimulating and challenging line of work.
Educators from across the state come to our facility to score teacher certification exams.As Sr. Scoring Director you will lead training sessions and oversee the scoring of writtenand audio-visual responses to a variety of teacher and school leadership certificationexaminations.Key responsibilities include: Prepare materials for each scoring session; create and select model assessmentresponses to be used as training tools Facilitate scoring sessions and monitor scorer performance Work on development and implementation of scoring models for new and innovative teacher certification assessmentsQUALIFICATIONS Master's level or advanced degree in education, English, or a related field Classroom teaching experience (elementary or secondary) Group training/facilitation skills Expertise in writing and editing Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new applications Experience with holistic scoring modelsTo apply for this position, please visit www.pearsoned.com/careers and use Malta, NY, as your search location.
