Instructional Designer
Primary Responsibilities : Develops or leads the development of Technology Based training (TBT) and instructor-led training (ILT) packages in accordance with sound instructional design( ID) principles.
Incorporates Instructional design process methodology to curriculum including: analysis of the audience, job tasks, the development of curriculum maps, storyboards, flowcharts, performance objectives, testing strategies, and learning activities.
Performs occasional instructor-led training programs and Train the Trainer on curriculum developed.
Must be able to travel at least 30% of the time, including international travel*.
Primarily focused on writing the course content and learning activities that meet course objectives Qualifications : Undergraduate degree in instructional design technology, education, communication or any discipline requiring mastery of written communication skills or equivalent experience Proficient at professional training and courseware development Experience in technical-based (TBT) design* Experience managing a variety of instructional design related projects Demonstrated skill using adult learning theory in the creation of training materials, which may include, whole task modeling, learner-centered instruction, action learning methods and feedback, and remediation techniques.
Experience developing classroom training, self-paced instruction and technology-based (TBT) training Exceptional written / verbal language and grammar skills Classroom training experience in relevant domain that may include technology, sales, or leadership learning activities Proficient in course authoring tools (both ILT and TBT) such as HTML, Dreamweaver, and Coursebuilder Proficient in software such as Snag-It, Viewlett, Photoshop, Flash, Fireworks used to create graphics and animation, capture screen shots, and produce demonstrations Basic familiarity with microcomputer hardware and operating systems (Windows & Macintosh)
