Rediscover your career as a barrier-free clinician! As an Employment Specialist for Gentiva Rehab Without Walls , you will: *Develop and implement pre-vocational programs to measure the current skill, ability, and interest of person receiving services with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
*Perform through evaluation of person served including work/education history, interests, aptitude, needs, abilities and physical skill to assess vocational potential.
*Develop, with interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, vocational rehabilitation treatment plan with set measurable objectives based on evaluation results and goals of person receiving services.
*Administer direct treatment utilizing vocational training and job coaching techniques.
*Set up programs to build the skills necessary to progress persons served toward the highest level of independent functioning, emphasizing skills related to vocational pursuits.
*Design community reintegration activities to assist the person receiving services with their vocational needs during physical activity.
Assist the person receiving services to understand and manage their various needs and limitations.
*Perform ongoing evaluations, assessing the needs and progress of the person receiving services against the plan of treatment, and adjust treatment plan to achieve maximum results in conjunction with the rehabilitation team as needed.
*Consult with employer of person served to facilitate work reentry, interview and hiring process, job skills training, and workplace standards.
Monitor work performance and workplace behaviors of person served, reinforce training, assist with planning schedules, and serve as advocate to ensure a smooth transition into work environment.
Qualifications *Associate's Degree or the equivalent *A minimum of two years vocational or job coaching experience with individuals having neurological impairments *Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques generally required *Current license and/or certification as required by the state of practice *Effective oral and written communication skills Benefits We recognize people as our most valuable asset.
