ELearning Developer / Instructional Design (Training Project Manager)
Description: Charles Schwab, a Fortune 500 leader in financial services, is searching for an eLearning Developer / Instructional Designer / Project Manager to join our Operations Training & Development Dept in Phoenix, AZ. Group Objective: Schwab Operations Training & Development supports Schwab Operations with training design, development and delivery on specific and overarching projects, functional training, and systems upgrades and rollouts.
We partner, cross-enterprise, to share best practices, training content, and tools, and also manage mandatory, regulatory training requirements, including Continuing Education for the enterprise.
As a result, successful candidates in this role must have broad experience in instructional design, as well as in project management and communications.
Project Management Requirements: Experience with systems, applications, product offerings, and mandatory training rollouts.
Ability to identify cross and intra-enterprise partners, and garner the information and support necessary for the seamless implementation of deliverables.
Schwab experience a plus.
Barring that, capacity to work within a complex structure to implement training/projects across enterprises, divisions, and departments.
Excellent communication skills around the reporting of status, issues, and timelines to project teams, sponsors, and owners.
This is NOT "People Manager", nor a "Training Department Manager" role.
Rather, it's an individual contributor role in a very fast-paced environment, where-in you manage multiple e-Learning projects simultaneously, and interface with multiple technology and business units on an on-going basis.
Instructional Design and Training Requirements: Create and develop online, and create and deliver instructor-led training.
Proven intermediate to advanced experience with development tools, e.
g., Dreamweaver, Flash, and Photoshop (or comparable graphics program).
Instructional Design skills that encompass the ability to create and develop training from experience, work with subject matter experts to extract applicable information with little supervision.
The ability to organize, develop, and deliver content to enhance transfer of online training by: - creating a pleasing visual environment for visual learners - ensuring knowledge of key concepts through interaction for kinesthetic learners - incorporating sound for auditory learners - arranging content logically to ensure clarity and comprehensiveness Qualifications: eLearning design experience Experience with online authoring and graphics applications and tools (Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, etc.) Superior and proven written and verbal communication skills Organized approach to the design and implementation of all deliverables Success Factors: Demonstrated expertise in the technical development of web-based training modules Builds effective relationships with technology partners and other training departments Ability to identify and overcome barriers to project and training implementation Requirements: Relocation Offered?
