CHILD DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE CERTIFICATE PROGRAM begins September 2010 at Housatonic Community College.

Training is available at no cost to you! Love children? Get paid to do what you love.

Get training with MaturityWorks for Childcare.

To be eligible, you must: be unemployed; be age 55 or older; live in Southwestern Connecticut; have a high school diploma or GED; and meet income guidelines.

Training prepares you to work at local childcare agencies.

While in the program, you can earn three certificates: Childcare Development Associate (CDA); CPR. (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation); and First Aid. The CDA can be submitted to Housatonic Community College for six college credits.

MaturityWorks for Childcare is a project of The WorkPlace, Inc. in partnership with Housatonic Community College and Career Resources, Inc. and funded by the US Department of Labors Employment and Training Administration.
