4. Perform in-patient evaluation and management of the pediatric patient with genitourinary problems: a.

Perform Pre and Post operative evaluation and management b.

Perform the evaluation and management of the critically ill patient in either the NICU, PICU or CC

5. Interpret roradiographic tests (ie Ultrasound, VCUG, IVP, Renal Scans (Cortical and Diuretic), CT scans, MRI, Nephrostograms, Nuclear scans of scrotum and skeleton).

6. Interpret complex Urodynamic/Uroflowmetry test

7. Perform pediatric urology surgical procedures (to include but not limited to the following procedures) a.

Basic endoscopic procedures (ie Cystoscopy [with or without stent placement], Vaginoscopy, Ureteroscopy, Transurethral incision of posterior urethral valves, PCNL, Holmium laser lithotripsy) b.

Basic laparoscopic procedures (Diagnostic Laparoscopy, Laparoscopic Orchidopexy (single staged vs Fowler Stephens staged), Laparoscopic Nephrectomy) c.

Groin/Inguinal procedures (ie Herniorrhaphy, Orchidopexy and Varicocelectomy) d.

Penile procedures (ie Circumcision, Meatoplasty, Hypospadias repair, Correction of Chordee &/or Torsion) e.

Scrotal Procedures (ie Hydrocelectomy, Orchiectomy, Correction of Testicular Torsion) f.

Abdominal Procedures (ie Umbilical Herniorrhaphy, Cecostomy) g.

Bladder Procedures (ie Ureteral reimplantation [single ureter or common sheath][intravesical or extravesical], Excision of Ureterocele, Excision of bladder diverticulum, Vesicostomy) h.

Renal Procedures (ie Pyeloplasty, ESWL, Nephrectomy, Partial/Hemi-nephrectomy, Uretero-pyelostomy, Cutaneous pyelostomy) i.

Complex Reconstructive Procedures (ie Genitoplasty, Vaginoplasty, Bladder neck procedures, Bladder augmentation, Mitrofanoff procedure, Neobladder, Monti procedure) j.

Microsurgical and Microscopic Surgical Technique

8. Perform as a teacher and supervisor for the Urology residents rotating at CHMC and fellows.

9. Participate in and divisional clinical research.

10. Present at national urological meetings and publishe in peer review journals.

12. Initiate and develop a basic science research project.

13. Apply for research funding with the goal of 100% NIH funding for research projects.

14. Daily rounds with the Pediatric Urology team when on call.

15. Maintain call schedule as outlined by the attending call schedule.

Candidates need to have completed a Urology residence program and a fellowship in Pediatric Urology.

Candidates must be board eligible.

Candidates need to have a strong interest in basic science research with the ability to attain funded for research projects.
