Why can't I find a job after 7 months?

I have a Master's degree in Computer Information Systems and Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science degree and I can't find a job after completing my Master's last november 09. I am still applying for jobs since January and I haven't gotten 1 job interview yet. I applied for entry level jobs since I have self experience in finishing projects. I apply somewhere between 1-3 jobs a week. The economy seems to be doing a little better than before. I can't do interns because I am paying over $600 a month for my student loans. I feel like I wasted my time and money in school for nothing. The Universities got rich off me but I am struggling and going near bankrupt even before I start a job. So what should I do?

Sounds like you're over qualified.

Do you have a recruiter that specializes in your field?

You should if you dont.

Personally, I think they're not hiring you because they're entry-level jobs. You're obviously over-qualified for those positions. Maybe you could freelance? Geek Squad?

My father has a Master's in Computer Science and Bachelor's in Mathematics. He got his current job over 10 years ago. He's lucky to still have it because his company laid off 3/4 of their employees since this economic crisis started.

I personally also had been looking for jobs since January. I FINALLY got hired today....
