UK CVs.. Do I need a 'skills' section?
Is it enough that i have Work History, Other Experiences: where i have written about my achievements here and abroad, highlighting skills i have had to use and gained.
nd then i have a Education section and Additional Info where i have put my IT skills down..
do i need a skills section alone or is this enough?

I have recently had my CV overhauled in one of these Jobseekers drop in sessions, and they have said that a skills section is not really needed especially if your CV already fills two pages (the optimum apparently). An potential employer will be able to gauge your skills from the jobs that you have had and the education and qualification you have undertaken. Anything more then you would be able to elaborate at interview or application form stage. |

It is best to have a separate skills section after you presented your work experience and your education...this separate skills section could include things like: languages, MS Office skills, general IT skills, etc... |

Skills Section is another name for Education. |
