I am looking to be a computer technical support in my area.Im only 14 years and have a few clients already and they really think im smart person. I am very good with computers. I can handle about any problem that my family comes up. And let me tell you i have fixed virus hardware malfunction, Built my own computer etc...

But my real point is I need some notable certification that can extend me skills while giving me something to brag about. I am looking in the support area for small Business/home and personal technical support. I would like to start easy and build up. Right now i run windows 7 and I on chapter 3/14 in microsoft windows 7 certification.

My requirements is it must be under 1000 dollars. No classroom training, just booklets. and it must be able to get certificated in it. Please give me some ideas from easy-hardest.

Very good! Well i'm a network engineer and have a cisco background but for you would be best if you start with getting the A+ certification, then get Network + then go for MCP and MCSE/MCSA.. That is from easy to hardest and if you want to get even better then go for your CCNA, CCNA/CCIP then CCIE if you feel you really love networking..

It would be Comptia A+. Unfortunately, I think it expires every 3 or so years now. Before, you could get it lifetime, but they got greedy and I guess technology is fast. Just study and take the test. It's only around $300 I believe.
