You graduated in the middle of the worst recession in 60+ yrs - nothing much you can do

As others have mentioned, we are in the midst of the worst recession since the great depression. That is the crux of your problem. Have you put your resume on dice, monster & careerbuilder?? Dice is where I look for mainframe jobs.

If the jobs won't come to you, go to where the jobs are. Maybe Washington dc, or Texas. I've heard the job markets are better there.
