How to get a job in computing?

I know that traditional programming jobs are mostly moving to china, but what kind of jobs for computing are available in the USA? i don't have too much knowledge of computers and whatnot. i've never taken a computer science class. i consider myself to be fairly good with computers, but what would i need to start doing to learn more of these skills? what would i need to learn to pass the certification tests? i've heard that with these certifications you can use them to get really well paying jobs and skip a good amount of college. I'm currently in college and i am just having a hard time focusing on any of my work. my parents pay for it since im still a freshman. but i struggle with core classes because i have no interest in them. i think if i took some computer related classes, some classes that actually interested me i would probably get way better grades and enjoy it alot more. what should i do?
