My employer is blantantly lying to my client and has put me in positions where I am forced to compromise my integrity. I do not feel comfortable in this job but have not been succesful finding work elsewhere in this economy? What do I do? Is there unemployment available for people like me?

Look, if u r not comfortable with ur job look for other.Leave the job if u have no financial complications. unless find another job for u first then leave it. That's the way it is. It's normal.

You can't get unemployment if you quit a job. While you are employed, look for a different job but do not leave your present job until you find something. Unemployment is insurance for someone who is put out of work through no fault of his own.

What do you mean by compromise your integrity? Is he asking you do do anything dishonest? If so, you may have a case. If he is asking you to do work that you feel is beneath you, it is your problem. The reason they call it work is because if it was fun, they would charge admission, not give you a paycheck.
